Emma Watson on the red carpet at the 2015 Academy Awards

This year’s awards show red carpets were nothing shy of extravagant. We have compiled our best dressed from the Golden Globes, the Grammys, and the Academy Awards red carpet. First up: The Golden Globes.

The Golden Globes was full of pearl white, black, and classic red dresses with  silhouettes ranging from column to fit and flair.

K: My best dressed for the Golden Globes was Emma Stone in a Lanvin black and white jumpsuit with a side bustle. Any time a female star strays from the classic looks, they take a fashion risk, and in this case, it really paid off for Stone. The way the sequined bodice of her dress reflected the red carpet was a testament to the construction. And her hair, makeup and accessories were perfectly simplistic. The bustle sealed the deal, cascading from her waist down the back of her left side.

S: I thought Reese Witherspoon was the best dressed at this year’s Golden Globes. She showed up to the red carpet in a silver-sparkled strapless maxi dress. The beaded Calvin Klein gown was actually not the most expensive part of her outfit; Witherspoon’s Tiffany & Co. jewelry totaled a whopping $1.5 million. The expense was well worth it though, because she looked stunning on the red carpet.

The Grammys are known for everything from short mini-dresses to cleavage bearing gowns. This year’s carpet was no different.

K: I’m really into the pantsuit this season, and no one pulls one off better than Gwen Stefani in custom Atelier Versace. Stefani parted from her classic red lip look at the Grammys this year, letting the beautiful a-symmetrical jumpsuit speak for itself. Her hair and makeup were my favorite of the awards season. Her legs looked a mile long in the slightly-slouchy pants, and I loved her clean and simple jewelry. Stefani wore a similar, red custom Atelier Versace dress for her Grammy performance.

S: Taylor Swift made quite the statement at the Grammy’s in a turquoise Elie Saab high-low dress and bright purple heels. The color of her dress was outstanding and made Swift look more like a mermaid than a singer. Stars tend to wear a variety of dresses to the Grammys, and Swift’s was no exception. Her dress showed just the right amount of leg and I don’t think her choice of Giuseppe Zanotti shoes could have been any better.

Argued as Hollywood’s biggest night of the year, the Academy Awards are nothing without its red carpet. This year’s carpet attracted hundreds of stars, wearing looks fresh from New York’s Fashion Week as well as vintage and custom designer pieces.

K: My best-dressed male for the Oscars was by far David Oyelowo. Oyelowo impressed with a red wine-colored Dolce and Gabbana suit with an ebola awareness ribbon on his lapel and black patent leather shoes. His suit was impeccably tailored and perfectly accentuated his red bowtie and crystal buttons on his shirt. A colored suit is always hard to pull off, but Oyelowo did so with ease.

S: Katherine and I both agreed that the best-dressed female at the Oscars was without a doubt Emma Stone. She rocked the red carpet in a backless long-sleeve chartreuse Elie Saab gown. Stone paired the dress with matching peep toe heels and silver bracelets. Her gown had a high slit and her hair was elegantly pulled back. Stone turned heads all awards season long with her flawless looks.
