Vocalists Earn All State Honors
Additionally, two students are named to a national honor choir
Four Cleveland choir students have been selected to attend the All State Choir and two of those students were also accepted to attend the Nation Honor Choir.
The four students who have been accepted to the All State Choir are Lucy Ferguson, Tonantzin Ramirez, Elijah Tinker, and Claire Yeates. Ferguson and Ramirez are members of Cleveland’s Treble Choir. Ferguson is an Alto 2 and Ramirez is a Soprano 2. Tinker is a Bass 1 in the Tenor-Bass Choir with Yeates, who is a Tenor 1.
All four of these students were selected for the All State Choir. This is a prestigious event that is sponsored by the Oregon Music Educators Association.
Treble Choir members Ferguson and Ramirez were the only Cleveland students chosen to attend the Nation Honor Choir event. The National Honor Choir is sponsored by the American Choral Directors Association, and it’s considered to be the most competitive honor choir in the U.S. Ferguson and Ramirez will perform in Cincinnati, Ohio, alongside the other outstanding choral students from across the country.
