Last Year’s Record: 8-0

What are the strengths of the team this year? Coach Zerba: The team has lots of new freshmen and eight returning state qualifiers. Aaron Kemper and Van Chrisman were both district champions last year.

What’s an interesting fact about the team? Coach Zerba: We have won six PIL championships in a row and we have won the last 13 out of 15 PIL championships.

Who are some wrestlers to watch this season? Coach Zerba: I think Aaron Kemper and Van Chrisman would be good to watch. They were both district champions last year. Two other wrestlers to watch are Dom Zupo and Jontae Hardaway. They both got second last year and will be fun to watch this year.

What are your expectations for the season?  Coach Zerba: We would like to defend our PIL championship this year to make it the seventh time in a row. My goal for every year is to qualify as many people for the state tournament as possible. I would also like to be a contender for the PIL and state championship.
