The PIL Solo and Ensemble Results
Cleveland’s music programs are a resounding success at the annual competition
Cleveland’s choir and band programs had a successful weekend March 5 during the PIL ensemble and solo competition. The programs are sending 11 soloists and ensembles to the state competitions in April.
The state chamber music contest (ensembles) will be Friday, April 29 at Mt. Hood Community College, and the state solo contest will be held Saturday, April 30 at Pacific University.
The choir is directed by Allison Cottrell and the band performers are directed by Gary Riler. Cleveland had several soloists and ensembles as alternates to state. They will find out if they make state after spring break.
