Cleveland’s varsity cross country teams competed at the PIL District Meet Wednesday. Four Warrior runners will be competing at the state meet in Eugene next week: seniors Iris Stasiuk, Sten Brakstad, and Tucker Swinth, as well as junior Milla Carrol. The boys varsity team is hopeful they can secure a wildcard spot to compete with our individual runners. It will be announced if they will be competing on Sunday.

Varsity soccer finished regular season play earlier this week. Girls varsity finished in a three-way tie for first, while boys varsity finished in third. Both of them will move on to the state championship bracket. The girls team will play South Eugene at home at noon on Saturday, and the boys will play at Sherwood the same day at 6:00 p.m.

Games cost $10 for adults, and $6 for students. Most venues will have digital and cash options. However league passes, PPS employee IDs, and student sports passes will not be accepted for OSAA playoff games. All spectators must buy tickets inside the stadium.
