Swim team competes at District meet, has bright future
The Cleveland Warriors’ swim team competed at the PIL District Championships Feb. 10-11. Although no swimmers moved on to the state championship, Coach Mollie Starr considers Cleveland’s performance to be a good one.
“Cleveland swimmers had many personal records at both the JV and Varsity levels. I loved watching how hard they worked at practice and how much improvement was made over the course of the season. We have a very young team. Coach Mark and I were talking about how excited we are about the next couple of years. If we keep the swimmers we have, add more swimmers to the team and they continue to improve, we will be unstoppable,” Starr said.
Cleveland’s boys team placed third with 176 points, and the girls team placed fourth with 159 points. Lincoln and Grant won the boys and girls competitions with 363 and 274 points, respectively. The Warriors had several podium finishes, listed below:

Girls
