How did Cleveland do?
Cleveland girls wrestling did well at Hood River on Jan. 25. Less than half of the team wrestled, with most of the team out for injury. Izzy Herring (155) placed first, Aubrey Spangler (135) placed seventh, and Kiera Callahan (120) placed sixth in her first tournament back from injury. Cleveland girls placed 16th for team scores out of 33 teams. This is good given that Cleveland had so few girls wrestling.
What’s next?
On Feb. 1 Cleveland girls are headed to Clackamas, and on Feb. 15 they will travel to the Ida B. Wells tournament, which is the last tournament before regionals.
