Boys Soccer: Oscar Johnson
In just the first six games of the season, Johnson has already contributed to seven of the team’s 11 goals. He has five goals and two assists on the year. When asked about his individual goals for the season, he said, “ideally first team all-PIL again and possibly PIL player of the year, but that may be a stretch.”
The team’s record as of press time is 3W-3T-1L, and they are on track to make a deep run in the playoffs.
“We have a good shot at getting all the way to the state championship if we are fully healthy and we can connect all the pieces in time,” Johnson said.
If Johnson can continue to score goals at such a rapid rate, he should have no issue successfully helping to complete these individual and team goals.
Volleyball: Karina Lee

Now in her third year as the starting outside hitter on varsity, Lee has led the Cleveland volleyball team to its best start since the 2021-22 season. Lee feels “really good about how well the team has started the season. I just want to carry the momentum throughout the whole season and make it to playoffs.”
Starting with an 8-3 record, Cleveland solidified itself as a top-three PIL team going into league play that began on Sept. 25.
Lee won All-PIL honorable mention her sophomore year and All-PIL first team as a junior. This year, she’s hoping for the same award, if not better.
