The baseball season is in full swing for the Cleveland Warriors, but it has not been the start the Warriors have hoped for with an OSAA rank of No. 45. The team has an overall record of 4-10, 1-4 in league play, with wins coming against Silver Creek out of Colorado, Reynolds, David Douglas, and Benson.
Although the team has had a rough season, Alex Nisbet has been an outstanding performer on the team with a batting average of .561 and hitting three home runs. Nisbet also has recently committed to Mesa CC to continue his baseball career.
Pitcher Lucas Geren has also been an outstanding performer for the team, leading the pitchers in strikeouts with 42.
The team will look to turn around their season with nine games remaining against PIL opposition, including a two-game series with Southeast rivals Franklin High.
