Cleveland High School’s varsity football team emerged victorious Friday, Sept. 8, defeating South Eugene with an impressive 36-14 final score. The standout of the game was running back Max Copus, who proved to be unstoppable with three sensational touchdowns, leading his team to an overwhelming victory.

Contributing to Cleveland’s triumph were James Ho and Pokii WaiWaiole, each scoring a touchdown, adding to the team’s commanding lead.

With this win Cleveland remains undefeated at 2-0 on the season. The Warriors prepare to face off with rivals Franklin on Friday, Sept. 15 at home, in a game that could decide who wins the division.
