In a highly-anticipated matchup, Cleveland varsity football suffered a stinging defeat at the hands of rivals Franklin on Sept. 15. The scoreboard told a harsh tale as Cleveland endured a 42-6 loss, marking their first defeat on the season.
Both teams entered the game with unblemished 2-0 records. This was the first conference game for both teams, meaning this game could have major impacts come play-offs.
Cleveland looks to the future, as they prepare for their game against Ida B. Wells on Thursday, Sept. 21. It is hoped that the Warriors can beat the Guardians in their own homecoming game.
