Varsity Girls Soccer: Warriors Start the Season Strong

The varsity girls’ soccer team started off their season on the right foot with a 3-0 win over Lebanon at home on Tuesday night. All three goals came from junior Audrey Olenski.

“We were able to create multiple chances and came away with the win,” she said. The Warriors were on the attack all game, and dominated possession. The score was 0-0 at half, but the Warriors continued to gain momentum. Eventually they were able to capitalize on goal-scoring opportunities and put the ball in the back of the net.

Both coaches and players are proud of the team’s performance in the first game of the season. “It was a great first game,” said head coach Emily Ngan. “I’m really proud of the girls for executing our game plan and playing as a team.”

“I’m glad we got off to a strong start this year. We are excited to see what the rest of the season holds,” said Olenski. The Warriors take on David Douglas at home on Tuesday.
