The varsity soccer team lost 3-1 to the Liberty Falcons Aug. 31. The Warriors’ goal came from junior Audrey Olenski.

Despite the loss, both players and coaches are staying positive. “We are really starting to come together as a team and proved that on Thursday despite not getting the result we hoped for,” said senior Lauryn Ruegg. “I thought we played good soccer,” said head coach Emily Ngan. “But we have to work on finishing our chances, especially in the final third.”

The Warriors, 1-1 on the season, were scheduled to take on David Douglas at home on Tuesday, Sept. 5, but the match was canceled due to excessive heat and unhealthy air quality conditions due to the Eagle Creek Fire.
