The girls’ varsity soccer team fought hard for a 2-0 win over Wilsonville (1-2-) on Tuesday, Sept. 19. This win brings the Warriors record to 4-1-1. The first goal came from junior Audrey Olenski 15 minutes into the second half, and senior Lauryn Ruegg added another goal five minutes later.

Both coaches and players remarked on how it took the team a while to find their footing in this game. “The first half was a struggle, but we came out ready to win in the second half,” said Ruegg. “I thought we came out a little flat the first 25 minutes,” said head coach Emily Ngan. “Proud of our players for playing with grit and getting the win at home.”

The Warriors play Rex Putnam High School on Thursday, Sept. 21. They take on Wilson at home in their first PIL game next Tuesday, Sept. 26.
