The Cleveland Warriors girls’ varsity soccer team (5-1-1) beat the Putnam Kingsmen (2-2) 3-0 on Thursday, Sept. 21. Goals came from seniors Ellie Mortenson, Ella Burke, and Julia Downing.
This was the last preseason game for the Warriors, and with five wins under their belt, they are confident going into league play. “The game went really well,” said Mortenson. “This was a great game to close out preseason and get ready for league.”
The Warriors take on the Wilson Trojans on Sept. 26 at home.
