The girls varsity basketball team has made it! They are on the way to their first playoff game on Wednesday, March 2, at 7 p.m. against No. 9 Mountainside in Beaverton.

These girls have done so well this season with a record of 15 out of 25 games won and ranked No. 22 in the state. The team is proud of how they’ve played, they have worked hard and the captains have led this team through a phenomenal season.

As of press time, there will be two more practices before Wednesday, where they will work hard in preparation. The girls are going to push themselves, show up and do their best for their playoff game, according to Head Coach Poeko Waiwaiole.

Mountainside finished third in the Metro league with a 15-9 overall record.

Addy Huss said on Monday she’s a little nervous, but it’ll be a fun experience as a sophomore to go to a playoff game. She feels that the team is ready and will hopefully play well, but doesn’t seem to have many doubts.

After tracking this team for a couple of weeks, the Warriors have shown that they are quite a strong team. They have a lot of skill and a positive attitude and you should all be rooting for them this Wednesday.
